White Space to conduct a nationwide analysis of how consumers are likely to react to inflation and price changes
20 May 2011
White Space has commissioned a nationally representative 3,000 respondent survey exploring consumer expectations and likely reaction to inflation and subsequent price increases of a broad range of goods. Analysis of the data will address a number of key questions including:
- How much room is there for retailers to increase prices?
- How does this compare with key competitors?
- Which customer groups are most / least price flexible?
- What are the underlying causes of price flexibility?
- How can retailers mitigate or even take advantage of inflation and subsequent consumer reaction?
The results will be published in a White Paper which will be made available to clients and other interested parties.
Director John Bee is eagerly anticipating the results:
"The results should be absolutely fascinating, it’s something we’ve put a huge amount of work into and really compliments the proposition and pricing work we have been doing recently for our regular clients."
