White Space completes strategic market analysis of the US High Definition TV market
27 January 2010
White Space has completed an in-depth analysis of the history and growth of HDTV in the United States that builds towards a series of recommendations on future growth of HDTV in the UK.
As part of this white paper, White Space has undertaken detailed primary and secondary research into the US market including interviews with 10 senior decision makers who work for major broadcasters, cable companies and content providers within the US HD market.
Areas of interest include:
White Space director John Bee comments:
“Many of our UK-based clients have become increasingly involved in HD broadcasting and technologies, including retailers, broadcasters and manufacturers. One question of universal interest is future growth, in terms of uptake, content, pricing and propositions. Previous research indicates that the US is often 1 - 2 years ahead of the UK in terms of new media and technology, which prompted us to take a look at the development of HD over there with a view to gaining a 'crystal ball' perspective into the future of HD in the UK. This resulting analysis is extremely powerful, and has already been presented to senior executives at four of the top five broadcasters in the UK"
White Space works extensively within the TV and UK media space and we would be happy to discuss the white paper and conclusions with you in more depth.
