Official launch of White Space's Pro-Bono practice

White Space has launched its Pro-Bono practice. The practice will provide charities and not for profit organisations with the same structured, highly analytical commercial approach to problems that White Space delivers to the commercial sector. Although highly resilient the Third Sector is being squeezed. The Charity Commission reports that many organisations are experiencing reductions in funding from all three major sources – public sector, fundraising and investments – while for many there has been a significant increase in demand for the services which they provide.

Director John Bee is very much looking forward to the challenges and opportunities ahead:

"On a personal level this is a very exciting opportunity to get involved with some great organisations that do really important work. Professionally I think this will be fascinating, charities are experiencing many of the issues that our commercial sector clients are currently facing; especially in terms of traditional revenue or funding streams drying up. During the downturn much of our work has been focused on helping companies find new markets or re-engage with old ones – an approach which has been highly successful in the private sector and I’m sure will also really benefit charities and other NFPs"
